New Directions of Horry County

Our mission at New Directions is to provide those in need with temporary shelter, basic necessities, and connections to resources, empowering them to rest, regroup, rediscover hope, and open doors to change themselves and their community.

New Directions operates 4 shelters along the Grand Strand to assist men, women, and families with emergency, non-emergency, long term, and transitional housing.

New Directions exceeds the basic provisions of food and shelter by providing recovery classes, job readiness classes, permanent housing assistance, and long-term case management.
